MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB PRESIDENT

Firstly great job everyone yesterday against solid opposition to win by over 70 shots shows we are clearly in a pretty good place competition wise.

Standout rink of Olga, Ed, Brian and Skippy.   Rarely do you see a rink lead I think 29-0……great effort over 21 ends and a sign of good things to come.
Thanks to John and Dee for arranging the food this week and to Brian and Robyn and Killer for helping setup and clean up.    Many hands make light work and all help is appreciated.
This week at Malvern:
Practice is on this Thursday.   Given we are a week away from the start of Tuesday pennant I have to say turnout last week was disappointing so come on and let’s get to practice.    If we want to meet our expectations for the season the practice will help!!!!!
This weekend:
There is no game or arranged activity on the football weekend but I know of a couple having a social bowl on Saturday and from 10 – 12 on Sunday I am happy to run a bit of practice or simply a game but would rather not turn up by myself so please let me know if interested…..
Last Reminder:
1) Teams for next Tuesday will be selected on Thursday after training so please let me know if you are available and have not put your name down as we may be a couple short for the first couple of weeks which would not be a great start……..Even if looking for a one-off game….
2) You have to be financial to bowl so if you have not paid membership fees please contact me directly as we will find a solution to assist as we want you bowling!!!!
3) Sheets are at the club for the singles and pairs and will be removed in a weeks time…..please make sure you have your name down.
For the diaries:
I have mentioned that Suzanne is willing to run a marking session for about 45 mins Thursday week (3rd October).    We will have a sausage sizzle after training to keep you there and also hopefully announce the teams for the first week of Saturday pennant.
Good Luck:
John Finemore going in for a procedure, hope to see him back healthy at the club soon……. as if we could keep him away!!!!
Have a great week everyone!!!!

Cheers

Stuart
