the bowling green is currently being upgraded and is unavailable for bowling. We expect to be back on the green in March 2024. This is an exciting development for the club as it will mean we can bowl all year around. Malvern Bowling Club is one of the best value, small conference, celebration and meeting venues for hire in Stonnington and is perfect for off site business presentations, product demonstrations, professional development days, staff training, discussion groups, meetings, etc. Not to mention the myriad of life’s notable events the old hall has helped people celebrate, including anniversaries, milestone birthdays, engagement parties, funerals and wakes.
MBC is easily accessible, just 300 metres from Glenferrie Rd trams and shops and a twelve minute walk from Malvern Station. Low cost, all day parking is available at the adjacent Cabrini Hospital car park.
Malvern Bowling club hall’s 160 metre square space allows between 40 and 80 people, based on either a one person per 4 square metre, or one person per 2 square metre basis. The sunlit and atmospheric hall is well ventilated (lots of windows and doors!) and features polished timber floors, informal seating areas, whitewashed walls and classic club honour boards from last century.
Malvern Bowling Club’s hall is fully equipped with;

- Projector (4K, 5000 lumen, LED) with remote controlled, drop down screen
- Portable whiteboard
- Portable public address system
- Seating and foldaway tables for up to 80 people (they can be easily arranged to suit your function)

- Ceiling fans and reverse cycle air conditioners
The adjacent kitchen and servery is perfectly set up for catering and comes complete with crockery and cutlery, serving plates, refrigerators, commercial dishwasher, electric urn, gas oven, gas cooktop, food warmer and microwave. The kitchen is accessible through a separate side door, five metres from the street entrance, along a level concrete path. This makes it easy for organisers and caterers to cook, heat, plate and assemble food.
There’s also space for a mobile coffee or food van to park just out the front when it’s time to take a break and enjoy some summer shade or winter sunshine on the north facing, green and spacious, outdoor area. The Coles supermarket 200 metres away at the top of the street is also extremely handy for any last minute catering needs as are the other myriad food options in Glenferrie Rd
Malvern Bowling Club’s bar is fully licensed and stocks a good range of refreshing beers, wines, cider, soft drinks, etc.
And (being a bowls club) depending on the season and weather, the bowling green can also be accessed, by arrangement, for a team bonding roll up or a wind down barefoot bowl.
