Hi All:
Well it’s been another good week for the club. On Tuesday we had both sides having great win, the first win for our Div 2 side after promotion so the atmosphere at Malvern was great.
On Saturday the Div 6 side led the way with 18 points and are sitting 3rd on the ladder after promotion so things are going well. The six a side team competes strongly each week and it’s great to have this side building our base of experience ably led by Maurice and Bill Derbyshire leading the way. The Div 4 side came back to earth with a loss away against a strong Richmond Union team but still finds itself in 2nd place after a strong start to the year but a challenge against City of Melbourne this week who had their first win for the season and will have some confidence at home.
Winning rinks for vouchers this passing week were as follows:
Tuesday:
The rink of Derek deKorte, Ed Payne, Rodger Kimpton and Andy Pappas who had a big win 32 -12 just pipping the rink of Olga Nowatschenko, Andy Smith, Peter Nowatschenko and Greg Dougall in Div 5 that had a great win 26-8
Saturday:
The rink of Jill McLean, Peter Nowatschenko, Anne Franceschini and Roger Morrisson killed the opposition, 38-10
