The Malvern
Bowling Club

Club Member Recognised

In encouraging Australians to recognise and reward the community’s most outstanding members, publishing group NewsCorp Australia every year presents Pride of Australia medals.

The Malvern Bowling Club is proud to announce that our long-standing member Phineas Meere has been recognised at state level this year in the category of Courage, an award presented “to an Australian who through [their] act of courage has overcome personal adversity through determination and strength of character”.

Phin will now have an opportunity to win the award at national level at the National Medal Ceremony in Sydney in December, after a public voting process held during October and November.

You can read about the Pride of Australia medal and about Phin’s nomination in this Herald Sun article.

Congratulations and best wishes are extended to Phin on this wonderful occasion!
