DEE’S LATEST NEWS 29

Good Afternoon,

Congratulations to those involved in another most successful Tatts bowling competition, particularly Stuart and David Pethard. Also, thanks to Wayne, Garry, John, Pen, Anita and Ann Hume for providing a yummy BBQ dinner. Our winning MBC bowlers were Rodger Kimpton, Garry, Malcolm and David Pethard. Thanks also to Lindsay for supporting this evening.

Saturday’s Div. 7 had a fabulous win! Mega congratulations especially Wayne, Joe, Malcolm and Allen who won 46 to 6. Talk about the winning rink! A record unlikely to be broken?

We have 2 new social bowlers join MBC. Geoffrey Westacott and Ron Scerri. Ron is becoming a welcome sight, he joined us for the Tatts night and has been a helpful and talented bowler at training. Our social bowlers are an important asset to the club. Their presence on the green and support for functions certainly adds to the happy community feel our club has. And of course, social members, being exactly that, are also most welcome.

Another most welcome sight has been the Pappas family. Michael, (Skippy) and his father Andy are rejoining us next season with all their enthusiasm and skill. It’s lovely to catch up with Fran again and thank you for your support and presence on Wednesday nights.

Another returning member is Greg Paton. Welcome home.

This Wednesday was a quieter and possibly calmer evening. Thanks to June Lee and John for organising dinner and all who helped. Particularly Peck Tee, Wayne and Graeme.

Don’t forget training tonight and drinks tomorrow night.
