Today at Malvern Bowling Club we held the first of three practice games, this time against Princes Park Bowling Club. The sun was shining, the green was perfect and our team was victorious, winning overall with 95 points to Princes Park’s 69 points. Our superb end result was greatly enhanced by Helen Classon’s team winning 32 – 3. Helen, Shinei Sakai, Neil Martin and newcomer Bunty Evans all contributed strongly to this runaway victory. We were also delighted today to welcome Ann Hume to her first competitive match for MBC! By all accounts our new ladies had a great day.
We are especially grateful for the sponsorship of Cabrini Health Australia who today generously provided TWELVE trays of delicious sandwiches for our afternoon tea. ?
With our just-painted clubrooms, newly displayed pennants and awards, cleared and re-jigged kitchen drawers, fresh and clean bar facilities and proactive new club committee, we’re all feeling really positive and excited about the season ahead.
There will be two further practice games over the next fortnight. Watch this space!
