When Helen and I arrived to watch Division 2 play at Ashburton just after the lunch break on Tuesday, things looked a bit shaky. What transpired from there was worth going a long way to see.
Each of our three rinks lifted and with some wonderful draw bowling on a 14.5 second green, Malvern started to put our opponents under pressure.
We all know what usually happens then! And happen it did!
With Spring racing upon us, a suitable analogy might be that coming around the home turn Malvern surged, grabbed the lead in the shadows of the post and went to the line “hands and heels” for a tremendous 14/61 to 2/50 victory. Correct weight.
Well done everyone!
