DEE’S LATEST NEWS 16

Seasons Greetings,

What a fabulous Christmas Cocktail Party we enjoyed. Over sixty members joined in the fun including life members Marty and Olive, Caroline Weber who drove up from Mornington and happily most of our newer members joined us oldies.
Penny as usual provided and organised a delicious assortment of finger food, Wayne was the BBQ king yet again and so many, many members generously helped Pen. Thank you to all who helped and attended, you made Wednesday such a lovely night.

Congratulations to our club champions Andy Barraclough and Andy Smith.
Peck Tee Kimpton and Rose Sieber are the Ladies champions and Rodger Kimpton and David Pethard the Mens. Don’t forget to look at our club website for great
photos of the champions day. ( Thanks Ed). We also enjoyed a beer and wine tasting along with yet another fabulous catering effort from Pen. I must say I’m now a fan of Young Henrys beer.

Functions have been ongoing and to some extent onerous but many hands have helped.
The usual suspects are to be thanked but yet again newer members have stepped up. Thank you to Sandy and David Knott, Michael and Andy Pappas, Ron Sherri and Nelson Fong.

We had a successful day on the green this past Saturday. Div. 6 and Div. 4 are both in the top 4. Hooray! And well done to all. A pity we haven’t a video of John Murdoch’s last bowl, which was the deciding bowl of the game, but the description is well worth hearing. A great skip’s effort.

John and I wish all a peaceful, relaxing break and stay safe.
