These photos give some sense of the atmosphere at the club last evening when, in the presence of thirty or so members and the main contractors involved, the new green lights were ceremoniously switched on by life member Olive Harding following a few well chosen words from President Tony Gamble.
Nibbles prepared by Penny Gamble and drinks from the bar were enjoyed by all for quite some time after the formalities.
Thanks to Pat Tyrrell for his tireless organisation and to Anton Middendorp, the supplier of the latest technology LED lighting system and to the Charli Brown Electrics crew for the highly efficient and professional installation involving only minor irritation to our champion green keeper Adrian Marston.
