DEE’S LATEST NEWS 20

Good Morning,

Congratulations to all who bowled so often this pennant cycle. Particularly Dennis who without a word of complaint bowled 4 times in the 3 days of competition.

Saturday was a typical bowls day, Div 4 had a fine win, Garry was absolutely on fire. Div 7 had a heartbreaking 1 shot loss.

Tuesday was a great day, beautiful conditions saw both Divisions get up. Div 3 defeated the highly favoured Ashburton 2 with our skips rising to many challenges. Div 5 saw confident and determined bowling from all. Wayne Simmons, Sue and Bunty fought hard as a 3 to not go down as much as expected, while on other rinks Malcolm and Ann Hume bowled really well, as did team Pek Tee.

And you must ask Derek about Olga’s bowl of the century.

We continue to gain social members, it says much about the wonderful atmosphere at MBC.

I hope to see you often over the coming week, what an exciting pre Christmas season we are enjoying.
