Again it’s been a busy week at MBC, particularly socially.Anita and her daughter provided a delicious dinner on Wednesday the31st. Yummy chicken and veggies followed by Toinette’s home made pear cake. This was for 30 members and guests. A very generous effort, thank you so much.
This past Wednesday we hosted our local state MP Michael O’Brien and a number of our sponsors. Our thanks to the following. Stuart, the whiz on a BBQ, cooked up a storm, the highlight BBQ sardines. Pen and Robyn did the veggies and Illy was generous yet again with slice.
As a most special treat Anne Franceschini brought a most delicious cream sponge cake. This was to celebrate Robert’s birthday and how good to see Rob so well and welcome many of his family including our sponsor his son Matthew.
Many of our members were genuinely interested in meeting and questioning Michael so the night was a great success. Congratulations to the committee on their initiative of meet our sponsors.
Our inter club competitions continue and one interesting result is the close fought match between Olga and Anita against Anne Franceschini and Robyn. Thanks to Andy Pappas for the photo showing the conditions in which they played. As Neil often says, they breed them tough in Malvern. The result was a narrow victory for Olga and Anita.
