Following a very well-attended and successful presentation by the Royal District Nursing Service in September this year, our club was asked to assist the RDNS with a publicity event yesterday.
Sam Carson, National Account Manager with the service, attended the club along with a photographer to be interviewed regarding the Bowls Australia/RDNS partnership programme. Helen Classon was also interviewed in relation to how lawn bowls fits into and melds with an active lifestyle.
We are proud to be associated with the RDNS and to assist in bringing bowls to the public’s attention as a wonderful adjunct to health and wellbeing, along with bringing into focus its benefits to the social life and community involvement of those who participate.
